Dark brown. Not much head. The aroma is acrid, burnt stout with a touch of raspberry. Tart, still with that acrid note, though it’s not as pronounced. The berry comes across with some sweetness. Pretty rough.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 2018-01-31, from Systembolaget, 20170420) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, nearly white and fizzy. Aroma had sweetness, raspberries and a hint of burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with high carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, raspberries, sourness, sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. Aftertaste was sour, tart and bitter. A confusing sour brew. The raspberry notes were nice but there were also too many unbalanced and unpleasant parts.

Bottle. Dark brown muddy pour. Aroma of raspberry, soft tart, roasted malt and chocolate. Taste has tart raspberry, sourness, roasted malt, chocolate and a bitter fruity finish. Way too much co2, really annoying and it spoils the nice flavor a little. This has potential, the carbo is a problem though.

Very dark brown, airy beige head. Raspberry aroma, slightly vinous with some sourish notes. Sour raspberry flavour, some light roasted notes. Fluffy mouthfeel. Interesting. Long, sour raspberry finish.

Bottle, 8.3%. Gusher. Fruity aroma, some old rag. Very dark brown colour. Perhaps black, and seems unclear. Small dark brown head. The flavour is citric, vinous and fruity. Roasted finish. A little funky, but not too much. Too high carbonation, I think. The raspberries come through nicely, actually a very distinct raspberry note, very well done. Thin mouthfeel. A very interesting beer, and almost as good as it is interesting.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours hazy dark brown with airy tan head, leaving laces on the glass. Clear aroma of raspberries with mild notes of yeast and hops. Vinous and razzy flavour with estery and roasty notes and touches of coffee and hops. Vinous and roasty aftertaste. Decent.

(330ml bottle shared by a friend) Pours very dark brown with a huge media tan head that fades quickly without lace. Gusher! Nose is light acidic, moderate sweet and roasted, fairly balanced. Tart back cherry velvet cake, cola, powdery roast, coffee, earth. Flavour is light to moderate tart, fairly sweet, light roast. Kind of like a less sweet black cherry cola. Burnt sugar and earth backdrop, raspberry character building in the back end. Dry ashy sort of back end, berry seeds, a bit nutty. Finish is short, lingering raspberry, ashy bitterness. High carb, kind of mineral, a touch thin and watery. I felt like the stout body needed more robustness for the ABV to better match the fruit, and some Brett funk to match the acidity as well. Decent.

Nesten svart med høyt lys brunt skum som ligger. Lukter sursøtt, bringebær, kirsebær, noe kaffebønner. Middels fylde. Lett syrlig smak, bær, bitter kaffe og mørk sjokolade, noe kakao. Pianøtter kommer i avsluttningen. Middels kullsyre.

Draught at En öl- och whiskymässa, 2016. Darkish black with red nuance, beige head. Aroma is fresh raspberries, vinegar, roastiness, hints of coffe, slight sweet in the back. Taste is sour up front with raspberries, fairly low maltiness albeit enough not to make it one dimensional, roasted notes, earthiness, finishes very dry. Medium body, medium carbo. Cool.

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds chocolate and dark cherries, raspberries. Medium sweet flavour with moderate acidity, tangy dark fruits, mild sweat. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tart dark berries in the finish, with undertones of dark chocolate. Fun one.
