Bottle - Stone fruit and some funk. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Funky stone fruit and some odd yeasty notes. The yeasty notes throughout are a bit odd.

22 oz. bottle, from my secret Santa. Dated 10 April 2014. Cloudy, light yellow pour, with a big, bubbly, off-white head. Big banana aroma, with lemon, pear, riesling, cloves, and white sugar. Very sweet, with a light funk, and just a touch of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sharp, bubbly, and a little dry. This is an excellent saison. Very complex and layered, with great fruity, yeasty, and (just a little) hoppy aromas. There’s a lot of residual sugar here. I kinda wish I’d let this bottle sit a few more months.

Very good. Nicely balanced. Some bubble or hay here. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Finishes with light sourness and some tang. Tap at DC Beer festival.

Bottle. Given the name and rating date, perhaps I rot-boxed this one a little too long, but here goes. Pours hazy orange amber with a medium yellow-white head, creamy with nice lacing. So far, so good. Aroma is grainy, honey, grass, pepper, herbs. Flavor is spicy, pepper, medium sweet, medium zesty bitter, lemon zest everywhere, dust, herbs. Medium body and a bit hot. Meh.

Bottle. Crystal clear golden color, white edge head. Aroma of light fruit, hay. Taste is light lemon. Lacks the barnhouse funkiness that I like is most saisons.

Sample at the Memorial Day Deck Beers tasting on 05/27/2013: Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, floral hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, fruity yeast and hops. The finish is tangy fruit and yeast. Above average overall.

Hazy amber beer, a big but short lived white head. Palate is semi soft and semi dry. Airy and fresh. Sweet malts with a trace of honey, turns creamy. A dash of fresh orange and a pinch of pepper. Finishes soft and semi dry. Sweet aftertaste. Nice!
