Pours an amber color with a quickly descending head. Bready nose along with some sweetness. Taste is not really interesting, but it includes a bunch of malts, a little bit of sugar, Nothing really exciting or complex. Wouldn’t get it again unless there was really nothing better in taste or value.

Crisp copper coloured body with a thinnish soapy, soda-like light white head. Aroma of metal, malt, citrus, soap and a bit of nuts. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt up front with a lot of effervescence, a bit of a citrus twang and some metallic notes rounding things out. Aftertaste is a bit more muted, just a nice sweetness (pit fruits/caramel), a little malt backbone and some light metallic off-tastes. Overall, an acceptable marzen, nothing surprising here, and not really worth sampling again...not enough done right and there are much better beers out there for this style! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 20-June-2009 (Last year’s bottle), sampled at home in Washington on 05-July-2009.

A golden lager with a thick lacing white head. A sweet biscuitty malt with light mineral noites, light signs of oxidation. In mouth, a crisp malt with german hopping, sustained, oxidized biscuit. Medium bodied. A very nice and smooth oktoberfest. Probably one year old.

Slightly hazy light beige. Chewy nose, slightly caramelly. The palate is sweet, crackery, with a fairly watery finish. Disappointing effort.

Hazy orange pour, with a huge, lasting, soapy head - lively carbonation - spicy, herbal nose, with hints of orange marmalade and dough/biscuit - a little too much carbonation in the mouth - the flavor is light and quite fruity, with some apple and berry hints - the vienna malts are there, but aren’t as prominent as one would expect - some herbal/tea-like notes - finishes with a touch of hops and lingering caramel - a little different for the style, but pretty tasty - under-rated.

Bottle courtesy of Hopdog: Poured a light amber color lager with a super huge foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt is enjoyable and refreshing. Taste of caramel malt is dominating with some light hops closing the show. Body is a bit thin but carbonation is very lively. Good example of the style but nothing to write home about.

Cloudy copper color, mild foam disapates somewhat quickly....distinct strawberries on the nose...can’t seem to distinguish too much else....bitter binish ...but the bitter cuts into the smooth just a bit too soon..."patience bitter, patience"...mmmhhhmmm a nice gassiness..."besides the bitterness, its good"-M
