Slight hazy brownish orange color but light. Has a froth for a head, or should I say lack of head! Initially a sour aroma but in the glass it has a slight spice aroma. When you pour this stuff the gunk on the bottom of the bottle comes out in chunks, watch out. Makes you wannah pout. You may not want to pour it all out of the bottle. Very light carbonation, almost flat. Taste is spicy, a bit difficult to detect the pumpkin in this brew tho the spices are readily observable. Goes flat rather quickly after the carbonation at the commencement fades. Typical pumpkin beer with less carbonation on the back of the throat. Finish is nearly mechanical propinquity.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a very thin head. It has a light aroma of pumpkin, malt, and brown sugar. The flavor includes pumpkin and mild ginger and is fairly sweet. It’s too watery. There’s a touch of spice and mild hops in the finish.

Sampled at From The Vine beer tasting Sep 22nd, 2006: Dark orange/copper color with a medium eggshell white head and minimal lacing. Aroma of pumpkin pie. Medium body with a good amount of pumpkin flavor, along with some caramel malt. The finish is short and lightly spiced. Slightly above average all around.

Pour is average... slightly cloudy amber/gold with a minimal head... lots of lacing as I work my way to the bottom of the glass. Spices come through heaviest in the nose--cinnamon and nutmeg. I’m not sure I’d guess pumpkin if I didn’t know that it was there, but maybe up front, before the spices take control. Flavor is not as heavy on pumpkin as some other beers like this... it’s more of a sweet malt flavor that has the same spices as a good pumpkin pie and is a little light on the pumpkin. It’s there, but a bit more subtle than I expected. The label is a classic...

Thanks to OhioDad for this one. pours hazy gold with a firm white head of tiny bubbles. Fruity malt aroma. Subtle sweetness with an earthy dryness. The pumpkin just doesn’t jump out at you enough. Otherwise it’s a fair amber ale.

Disappointing. The pumpkin spices are barely noticeable at all, and if I didn’t know to look for them I wouldn’t know this was a pumpkin beer. On the light side overall, it is a light bodied ale with no remarkable characteristics. There are many more flavorful pumpkin beers, and this beer has almost no aroma.

Bottle. Clove, nutmed and cinnamon aromas. Orange-yellow color with small head. Flavor primarily clove and nutmeg but also with lighter cinnamon and pumpkin notes as well. Nicely blended beer - gives you what it says.

Pour is almost a bright orange with a white head. Aroma is of cinnamon and spice. Flavor is deffiantly pumpkin with a nutmeg after taste. Swallow finishes watery and thin. My first pumpkin beer and its so-so. Ok to have one but more than one is a a bit much. Could use more spice.

2004 bottle from Su11y. Orange-yellow and light amber with a touch of reddish-copper. Small, white head, is somewhat retained. Clear and filtered. Aroma of ginger, pumpkin, nutmeg and a bit of honey. Sort of like pumpkin pie. A bit of creamy base malt in there as well. Flavor begins with a good malt backbone. I like when pumpkin beers start out establishing a good maltiness before getting in to the spicing, and this one does that well. Light caramel, honey, and just pure maltiness, not too sugary or syrupy. The spice comes lightly, but quite authentic. Pumpkin pie spices abound and are not very astringent, which is impressive as well. Finishes with pumpkin flavoring, nutmeg and honey. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all. Medium body, low to moderate carbonation, but it’s still force carbonated, and the beer tastes a little too clean overall.

Copper colour with orange highlights and a super-dense off-white head. Aroma of nice spices (nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin pie) and malt. Light-bodied; Watery flavour with subtle spices and a bit of sweetness. Aftertaste clean, but a bunch of the pumpkin shows through. Overall, a nice beer, needs more flavour in the taste though! I got this twelve ounce bottle purchased by my mom from Merchant's in Dearborn, Michigan. I sampled this one on 27-November-2003!
