Brewed in celebration of Uinta’s 20th Birthday, this American Sour Brown Ale flaunts significant acidity balanced by flavorful Abbey and Chocolate malts and a modest amount of hops. A distinct tartness on the palate combines with notes of toffee and earthiness.

Bottle at Bruce’s, big thanks to Kenny. It pours deep cloudy mahogany brown with a small off-white head. The nose is tangy, tart lemon, grapefruit, vinegar, over-ripe berry and wood. The taste is sour berry, sherbet, lemon, almond, Granny Smith apple, grapefruit, wood and tangy vinegar. Medium body and fine carbonation. A very enjoyable pseudo-sour brown.

Bottle at Bruce’s in London - Ken brought this one. Pours lightly hazy amber with a fine cream crown. Sweaty and acetic fruits on the nose. Light sweet flavor, lots more acetic berries, tang. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy finish, acetic fruits, sweaty man, ripe berries. So so.

750 c&C from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy dark copper with a foamy 3 finger dark beige head. Aroma of lightly sour fruit. Med body. Flavor is fruit, followed by sour, followed by chocolate, followed by treacle/toffee. Not sure about hop, cause it’s kinda sour, but the rest of the flavor is as per description. Goes earthy/sour/tart with a few minutes. Finishing strongly, but not too much so, in the sour/wild category. Way better than so many NB "sours".

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours clear ruby red with a medium beige head with good retention. Aroma consists of dark fruit, caramel, barnyard, red wine vinegar. Taste is sweet, sour (7/10), acidic, caramelly, dark fruits. Body is medium to full, mouthfeel a little foamy. Pretty good if not great. Addendum: this really started to grow on me, making me up my overall score.

750. Pours a cloudy mahogany color with a small white head. A sour cherry nose. The flavor is sour, acidic at times, berries, a big malt base, an aggressive Flemish Brown. Dry. Pretty good.

750ml C&C picked up at the brewery
Appearance: Pours clear brown with a medium sized off-white head and some lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, tart dark fruit and some smokiness
Taste: Malts, earthy, sour fruit, acidic with a dry finish
A decent sour brown, the warmer it got the more I liked it.
