Armand’4 Herfst Oude Geuze is a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old Lambic, brewed, aged, blended and bottled by Armand Debelder. This one-time and possibly the last bottling comes in a fancy Asti Spumante Champagne bottle. Armand only used Challenger hops in this brew. He’s in fact the only lambic-brewer to use Challenger hops to make his Geuze. 60 % malted barley, 40 % wheat, aged hops and water. Each season’s geuze has an unique and different blend.

750ml bottle shared with ippopotamo36 @La Tana. Unclear amber with a big off-white foam. Aroma is citric, vinous, lime, a note of wood that emerges after a while. Flavour is powerful, citric, tart, not as complex as I expected but so elegant... medium body, good carbonation. Another gem by 3Fonteinen!

Bottle (retired) at La Tana pub in Rome-Italy. Private collection shared by mortlach. Grazie Mille. Pours cloudy orange skin going amber, huge orangish head! Nose: lime forward, wood, a background of bitter cacao. Mouth: lemonade, grapefruit, kind of white vinegars, extreme and elegant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wonderful and very well rounded. Grapefruit tangy bretta here. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Wonderful package. Nice rind. Tangy finish with some crackery crispness. Big thanks to Travlr for breaking this one out of the cellar.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy dark orange colour with a beige head. A bit fruity aroma of oak, forest floor, rowanberries, horse, citrus and banana. The flavour has more citrus, wood and hints of cardamom. Has a slick and dry mouth feel. A balanced and complex gueuze. Perfect sour level.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a cloudy orange with thick frothy off white head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is huge funk, stinky feet, oak. Thick mouthfeel with a light funk, oxidized apple, oak. Very good.
