Bottle. Pours reddish amber white head. Nose/taste of cocoa, blackberry, funky yeast, toasted nuts and touch of bandaid/plastic. Medium body.

Bottle purchased a while ago at Wine Club. As soon as I loosened the cage the cork hit the ceiling, some post-gushing but not bad. Pour is a clear reddish orange, large beige head, dissipates fairly quickly, nice lacing. Aroma is funky, yeast, hay, fruity, vinous, dusty. Flavor is light sweet and medium funky, lots of yeast esters and fruitiness. Medium body, high carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Bob. Pours a cloudy orange with thick white head. The aroma is yeast, fruit, pecan. Thick mouthfeel with yeast, spice, and light dryness.

Bottle split at the Jack is back tasting, thanks to Kenny for this offering, 06/03/14. Orange amber with a big old off white head of bubbles. Nose is tangy fruits, apricot, straw, pithy orange, light yeast tones. Taste comprises orange marmalade, straw, light booze notes (strange for a 6.5% saison!), hint of brett, apricot, citric pithdom, light spice. Medium bodied +, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough saison, strangely thick and boozey for the ABV!

Jack is back tasting at Bruce’s. Cloudy brown beer, big yellowish tan head. Palate is light and airy. Fine crisp carbonation. Mild gueuzy vibe. Little savoury bitterness. Light dried fruits. A red wine tang in the finish. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Ken. It pours hazy amber with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is musty, orange peel, candy, sherbet, pretty sweet...earth, herbal, Brett and funk. The taste is funky, barnyard, earth, herbal, spice, Brett, orange peel, metallic and brioche with a bitter, funky finish. Medium body and high carbonation. A bit unbalanced, but still alright.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Ken. Pours cloudy gold with a thick, off-white head. Lots of yeasty dough in the nose, touches of tangy citrus. Medium sweet flavor, a bit of poopy brett, tangerine, mild pine needles, slight alcohol warmth. Medium bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Lightly warming to finish, some orange, tangerine, lightly sugary pale dough. Decent.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Another Saint Somewhere gusher. Cork hits ceiling; quick pour averts mess! Pours very hazy orange with a beige head. Which went from foom to flat. Aroma of berry and malt. Med + body. Flavor is nutty and berry - lot of nutty. It’s highly carbonated. Shockingly nutty. Berry is second string. Flavors are strong - sort of overtaking my tongue in a vigorous manner. So strong I’m not really getting saison characteristics. Still, it’s a new experience - and not a bad one. Oh, with time it does seem a bit earthy. So - saison it is.
