From a 568ml bottle on 28/5/2013 (ABV listed as 6.4%, not 6.2%). Pours a slightly cloudy reddy amber with a smallish head. Has a modest pleasant light, sweet fruity aroma. Exhibits some caramel, toffee and toasty malt, with lots of sweet citrus and stone fruit. Has a good, medium hop kick. The body is medium to full and the carbonation is medium. They suggest that this is a red IPA though it doesn’t have much IPA character in my view. That said, it’s a very enjoyable, if quite subtle, beer. Hides its 6.4% very well.

Pours pale copper with a large head.Nose shows caramel, soft fruity confectionery, spicy hops and subtle bready malt.Lots more sweet clean malt as a flavour along with more of the confectionery notes. Transitions to spicy hops in the finish. A bit of booze shows.Nice moderately high carbonation works wonderfully.

Bottle. Clear burnt orange with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, peach, gooseberries, a little pine and spices. Taste is sweet with plenty of stone and tropical fruit; caramel bloompfs around making it red and sweet. Citrus and light spices struggle to cut though. Firm bitterness emerges and the finish is really quite dry. Liked the melange of hops but didn’t need all the caramel.
