Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to our Bruce. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry and crisp. Sourish lemon. Lesser grapfruit. Touch of worcester sauce. Crisp dry finish.

Bottle. Off the menu offering from Bruce at that crazy mega tasting. It pours deep golden-orange with a small white head. The nose is soft, earthy, toasty, sherbet, tangy orange, sour candy and hay. The taste is crisp, tart, sour peach, apricot, old fashioned lemonade, oak, vinous notes, some acidity and minerals with a dry, tart finish. Nice sherbet character. Crisp, tart and tasty.

Bottle at the Big Friday Brokeback Tasting, massive thanks to Bruce once again for digging more good stuff out that wasn’t on the list and keeping my OR ticks going - 03/01/14. Murky orange amber with little in the way of a head or covering. Nose is tarte citric fruit, damp hay, orange pith, bittern apricot, straw, musty. Taste comprises orange pith, dank tropical notes, straw, light sweat, dried apricot, hint of alcohol peeping through. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry closure. Decent sour but not a top draw offering.

An off-the-list bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours hazy, rich gold with a fine, creamy white head. Nice aroma, some sweaty citrus, tangy lemon, mandarin orange. Light sweet flavor with assertive tangy lemon, minimal rindy bitterness, sweat, straw, tangerine, salt. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, loads more tart lemon and mandarin orange, little to no bitterness. Beautiful stuff.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dirty solid orange with no head. Aroma is moderately sour pitted fruit. Med minus body. Firmly sour flavor. Sort of citrus mixed with light stone fruit for flavor. Nice sour.

Bottle thanks to the Boise crew. Pours a copper color with a large white head. The aroma is awesome sour fruit, apricot, dusty, lactic sourness. The flavor is excellent: big sweet fruity drenched in sour tart barrel and vinous notes, big apricot, leaves very tart. Damn good.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Thanks André! A touch reddish orange, cloudy appearance with a dissipating white head. Peach bretty, pineapple, coconut, light oak, somewhat yeasty, lightly vinous aroma. Moderately sour, tangy pineapple, pear, peach, vanilla, tart red wine, light lacto, coconut/oak flavor. Really a pretty nice fruity element but nothing too complex.
