I guess my bottle is the 2012. Really no way that i can see to tell. Jet black pour, dark mocha head. Nice roasty nose, earthy hops, and bitter cocoa. Soft mouthfeel, soft carb. Medium bitter finish, bitter cocoa and some more sweet roasted malts.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, light coffee, still solid after 10 years.

500 ml bottle. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with moderate head of big tan bubbles that dissipate quickly. Aroma of heavily roasted malts, brownies, and dusty dry cocoa. Flavors of bitter chocolate, black coffee, and roasted malts. Light, acidic, and overly carbonated. Sweet? I don’t think so.

Draught at Beer DeLuxe, Melbourne, on July 30, 2013.I’m guessing it was the 2012, it stated 4.9% ABV anyhow.$10 for a small pour, not cheap.Black color with hints of dark brown, brown head. Cocoa, chocolate, smooth, a bit sweet taste. Chocolate, cocoa aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness. Dark chocolate scent.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours very dark brown with a foamy 3 finger frothy light tan head. Nice aroma of dark milk chocolate with a hop hit. Med body - less as froth goes. Not the best impression there. The flavor is now bitter chocolate - there seems to be a lot of hop in here. Touch of coffee. I’m not sure this works all that well. Lots of flavor - but harsh - and hoppy chocolate? It is growing on me. Seeing it finishing dry, bitter and chocolate. Ok. I’m convinced.

Bottle courtesy of argoO at Dc tasting. Black-brown body, beige head. Big brown chocolate tastes. Mossy chocolate, a load of peat. Very English/Scottish feel. Perfect clean mouthfeel. Rich crystal malt, but oh so sessionable.
