A medium-bodied, golden IPA that gets in your face from first sweet sip to crisp, dry finish with the exotic tropical fruit flavors and aromas of New Zealand Motueka hops. With just enough malt character to keep the aggressive hop presence in check, and an unruly 7.5% abv, this brew was seemingly born to kick ass. And RAZE HELL!

Bottle. Pours a nice orangish gold with a thin head and aromas of papaya. The beer is a little odd... I can tell there is a decent hop presence there, but all I can use to describe it is \"papaya\" and a little bit of citrus. It’s a decent IPA, but it is also a little unconvincing... Not quite sure what the problem is, but it seems a little washed out or un-directional or something.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with off white head. Nose and taste of old tropical fruit, caramel malt, sticky resin, dank grapefruit, orange candy and bubblegum. Lighter medium body.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of light fruity hops notes with light citrus hoppy notes as well as some dry bitter notes. Taste is a mix of dry bitter hops with light tropical and citrus notes with some caramel malt with well-balanced sweetness level. Body is about average with good carbonation. This is not bad overall but lacking the hops punch I was hoping for.

Crisp copper coloured body with a nice thin tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, light malt and a hint of sugars - fairly nice. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour up front with a good earthy malt flavour, some subdued grassy and herbal flavours and a crisp sweet finish, almost like a lager. Aftertaste shows some fresh hops in the finish with a bit of an earthy or toffee like flavour at the end, all with a good malt balance. Overall, a good IPA - not stellar, but a good balance of hops and malt and some nice earthiness to mellow out the hops. I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Bowie, Maryland on 28-April-2012 for US$5.00.

Total Wine: Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, some citrus, and dirt. Taste is pretty conventional malty IPA. Drinkable and pleasant, but forgettable.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-tan color with a large foamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was earthy, woody and somewhat meaty. The flavor was bitter, earthy, meaty and bready with a bock like sour caramel presence. Long bitter sour caramel finish. Medium body. Not good.

Weak orange peel nose. Clear orange, thin yellow head. Surprisingly strong flavor of whole orange, peanut hulls. Orange peel finish. Strong, full flavored, but medium bodied, not heavy.

Nice, easy drinking IPA. Nothing too special but it hits the points. Citrus, light pine, some malts, and a real light herbal tone through it. Medium bodied. Not too bitter but it has just enough to make it drinkable and refreshing. Doesn’t stand out but doesn’t step back, either.
