22oz bottle number nine in the set. Pours out a dark amber topped with a sand head. Nose is bam cinnamon cocoa sweetness and some pumpkin. Taste is more of the cinnamon gingerbread roast malt cocoa. Wow this is good. Man Elysian kills pumpkin beers.

I’m running out of these beers, and it’s a total bummer. Only 2 more beers of the apocolypse after this. So glad these have held up so well all this time, and would enjoy the hell out of it if I’m the last to ever rate this. Every time I think I’m doing something record breaking, I realize quickly that I am nowhere close. Maybe I’ll win this one. Pours a bright orange with an active fizz head. Aroma is like a cinnamon cookie. Snickerdoodle. Cinnamon spice flavor, slight apple, and pumpkin spice throughout. Bring this one back guys! Awesome.

22 oz. bottles from Oliver’s Beverage Center, Albany, NY. This bottle is last season’s. Bottle stored properly in my cellar. Amber orange color in a snifter. Nose is really tempting. Cinnamon apples, yams and a light note of pumpkin. Flavor starts with the Apple cinnamon with yams, pumpkin and light caramel malts in the finish. 7.4 ABV is covered up totally. More fruits and spices rather than pumpkin, yet stil real flavorful.

Drought. Amber-orange color, beige creamy head, strong pumpkin aroma, low carbonation, long finish. Pleasing pumpkin beer, in fact best that I’ve ever had.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods - Bowery, 3/15/13

Aroma: The aroma is an excellent mix of pumpkin and cinnamon, with some other spices too
Appearance: It pours an orange color with a small off-white head and spotty lace
Flavor: Taste-wise, the cinnamon is quite present and works well with the pumpkin and light hops
Palate: The body is medium, it has a good feel, average carbonation, and a spicy finish
Overall Impression: This one is really impressive. It has to be one of the best pumpkin beers I have ever had, and I am a big fan of the style. Excellent stuff. The cinnamon adds a really nice component. I'm excited that I was able to locate a bottle of this one, and I hope they produce it again in the future outside of the Apocalypse series.

Bottle courtesy of Ed, thanks very much! Hazy amber color, white edge head. Aroma is like snorting pure cinnamon, it overwhelms all else. Taste is similar.

Rated two nights ago as part of our annual pumpkin beer night. Bomber bought at Yokes Spokane Valley, thanks Anderson01! Pours hazy orange with a collapsing beige head. Aroma consists of nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is sweet and meaty with a lightly dry bitter finish. Taste is nice and full of pumpkin pie flavor. Bittering hops start to reveal themselves in the finish after warming up a little. A really good pumpkin beer, but it’s not pushing any boundaries like most of the beers in the Apocalypse series by Elysian.
