This rich amber lager quickly became our flagship brew. Ruby has a deep color and nutty flavor imparted by toasted malts atop a bed of choice, 2-row barley. German hops give this beer a mild but spicy bitterness. Ruby is a go-to beer with a mellow body and loads of flavor.

Copper color with a woody and herbal aroma. Taste is lightly sweet caramel malt with a quick turn to a woody, dry, mildly bitter finish.

Draft at Olde Hickory. Pours a clear copper with a finger of off-white head that lingers. Nutty aromas with light malt and toasted bread notes. Balanced finish but leans a touch sweet on the finish.

Got a bottle of this while visiting relatives in NC. I was surprised to see its only rated at 3.7% ABV, seems a little stringer than that! Color is that of darker iced tea and it has an interestingly yellow tint to the head. Taste is certainly vienna but its not in yer face, it lacks that cloying vienna attribute you find in so may domestic attempts. Yes, I find this to be quite on style with the old euro viennas; lighter and easy drinking. Typically I cringe a little when I find out a beer is styled as a vienna, but this stuff is not bad! It comes across more like a civilized mild ale! It also has a good level of co2 to boot! Thanks OH!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a reddish brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was woody and a bit toasty with light astringency and a hint of dark fruit. The flavor was slightly bitter and a bit astringent with dark fruit and a bit of wood. Medium length finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

6 week old bottle A: Clear tea colored body with a very short and short-lived bubbly head that left a clinging ring. S: Muted scent of dry leaves, orange zest and toffee. T: Spritely sip features mainly herbal hop notes and faint bitter chocolate. Cola-esque without the sweetness. Not bad but lacking in flavor. M: Thin bodied to the point of watery and more aggressively carbonated than the appearance indicates. Clean finish. O: Low ABV seems to do more harm than good here. Disappointing overall.

Bottle. Walnut and barley wort/malt aroma. Dark amber with moderate head. Nutty toffee malt and hay flavor. Decent body. A bit under-attenuated but still pleasant

On tap @ Olde Hickory. Pours a dark orange appearance with an off white head. Graham cracker, toasted aroma. Bit of cracker. Kind of spicy. Slight diacetyl and butterscotch in the mouth. Caramel and toffee. Moderately sweet. Pass.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, amber-red with a mild, creamy tan head. The aroma holds butterscotch and bread, perhaps some caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor, a bit of butterscotch, maple syrup, bread. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with lightly toasted brown bread, maple accents, creme caramel. So so.
