A hazed dark amber ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, a pungent grassy hops, with maderized biscuit malt. In mouth, a lightly vinous caramel malt with grassy hops, lightly resinous, a bit metallic in the end. Not bad.

Bottle shared by Kabutomushi. Cloudy orange, fine head, fruit salad nose, papaya, tangerine, light pine. Fragrant and inviting. Somewhat sweet flavor, mild bitterness, great hop flavors, really nice balance and very drinkable.

Very hazy, chunky honey glowing amber coloured body with a dense thick tan head - looks amazing. Aroma of grass, flowers, light hops, wort, yeast, sugars and a touch of raisins. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop notes at first with a good malt balance and some nice floral flavours coupled with yeast and a touch of dry hay at the end. Aftertaste shows some good complexity with a nice twang of bitterness at the end and a faint hint of sweetness. Overall,a nice APA that is relatively complex and showing some lighter, but more floral and grassy hop notes. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 16-November-2011 for US$2.95 sampled at home in Washington on 04-January-2012.

On tap at Small Bar on Division. Poured a near clear amber with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had note of earthy grain and sweet grains with a bit of light citrus backing. Flavor was similar with earthy grains and wood with a bit of light citrus and some floral in the finish. Nice and easy to drink

12 ounce bottle courtesy of bertram. Thanks! Pours a hazy orange color with a medium creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus hop notes with toffeeish malts. The taste is bitter citrus hops with some earthy malts and a nutty, toffeeish vibe in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent balance. Nice beer.

Enjoyed as part of a sampler at the Two Brothers Tap House in Warrenville, IL. Appearance somewhat clear gold with a thin white head that laces to the glass. Aroma mostly of yeast with a bit of lemony citrus, not really much of a punch. Taste not bad, kind of subdued as the profile is noticeable but not in the forefront. The hop / malt balance comes through at the finish but when you first take a sip its hard to notice any flavor. Its not bad but mostly average.

Copper. Aroma of clean crisp, citrus hops, light malts. Medium bodied. Flavor has a decent portion of citrus hops and medium caramel malts. Nothing too special just an easy drinking pale ale.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a huge, foamy white head that leaves tons of lacing. Hoppy aroma with some pine, orange peel and soap. Flavor strikes a decent balance with some light caramel malts and grapefruit hops. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Finishes with some toffee sweetness, along with earthy, dirty hops. Not bad.
