Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 02/02/2012. This beer pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Citrus and grainy malt in the nose. Light body with flavors of lemon and lime, malt and spice. The finish is sweet and citrusy with a grainy aftertaste. Average overall.

Bottle from Liz. Pours dishwater gold with no real head. Lime is in the aroma. Near med body. Clean, spicy, citrusy. Not sure where the lime went. Certainly fits the style.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-tan with a thin white head. Lemon-lime aroma, quite nice for the style. This is pretty much what all the macro lime beers would love to capture, a really sessionable beer with a faint lime signature. Zesty and quite fresh, this is very refreshing, though it does have a slightly artificial feel to it. Mellow medium body, this is a great Summer session beer.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Cloudy yellow-orange with a small white head. Wheaty aroma with citrus and coriander. Sweetish-spicy flavor with citrus fruits and a spicier drier finish. Light to medium-bodied. OK.

Awful beer, not even refreshing which is the lowest compliment you can give a wheat ale because that’s there main goal, but this was as bland as bland gets. No imagination at all.

Hazy golden coloured body with a dense slightly off-white head. Aroma of tons of limes and lemons, coriander seed, fake caster sugar and a little bit of yeast and more aspartame or saccharin. Light-bodied; Sharp fake sugar taste with the same bitterness, a touch of light wheat and spices and a potent lemon and lime freshness. Aftertaste is quite bitter with a lot of fake tastes throughout. Overall, not such a great beer, but still okay to try. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in St. Petersburg, Florida on 13-November-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 09-January-2011.

I guess I’m just not crazy about Belgian wits anymore. I think if you like them, you might find this to be decent and refreshing for hot weather. Cloudy yellow gold, medium head. Aroma is banana, a little clove or other indistinct medicinal phenols, and a wheat bread malt. Light fruity palate with banana and citrusy wheat.

Lime and coriander nose. Milky golden, thin head. Bitter coriander and moss flavor with traces of lime, a little oxidized. I probably enjoyed this more than most. It has its flaws, but I like what the brewer is doing. It’s an interesting Floridian take on a Belgian wit. Kudos for originality.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, light yellow with almost no white head. Nice wheaty nose with some light citrus. Flavor has mild sweetness, notes of lemon and lime, some biscuit, hints of bitterness on the tail. Light in body, very fizzy. Nothing complex about this beer, which is why it’s nice.
