12 ounce bottle from State Line. Pours a clear dark copper color with a thin creamy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of spice, caramel, bready malts. Almost reminiscent of cola. The taste is bread, nuts, spice, apple, stone fruits. Medium bodied. Meh.

Bottle drank at Hill Farmstead while waiting for the Harvest Festival VIP session to begin, Vermont. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, frothy cap. Moderate yeast in the nose, brown bread, subtle ripe fruits. Medium sweet flavor with faintly toasted bread, light yeast, some faint berries. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Sweet finish with further notes of yeast and brown bread, along with light caramel and brown sugar. Decent balance, very smooth character.

Brown color. Some yeast and a little citrus, as well as lots of sweet malt, and in fact it is too sweet really. There is some light spice, but it is overwhelmed by sugar.

Bottle pours light brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is estery Belgian yeast with breaded malts. Flavor is big and bready with light banana and clove estery yeast in the finish.

12oz bottle pours amber with copper hues and weak off white head. The aroma offers up cloves, prunes, raisins and a bit of spicy yeast. The taste is similar where various saison spices seem to be mixed with a mild amount of Abbey Dubbel like notes. It is growing on me as the spices begin to play with the sweet dark fruity esters and soft notes of light brown sugar.

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets to coat surface. Sweet sourdough and caramel aromas. Crisp with sweet toffee upfront turning to clove and bubblegum in the lasting finish.

12oz bottle. Caramel orange-brown body, thin white head. Kind of an uninspired aroma, macro brewhouse, maybe a little deteriorated with age. Medium bodied, very drinkable, brings to mind a Bierre de Garde more than a Saison. Soft caramel malt tones. Toasty, smooth malt tones, not really any hop tones to speak of besides some upfront balancing bitterness that quickly fades away. Some mild underlying funky yeast tones, certainly more restrained than most Saisons. Pretty insipid offering, has the mild caramel brown chocolate tones of a mild dark lager.

Sample from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dryish, nutty and bready with a hint of pepper. The flavor was tangy and nutty with notes of red meat and cooked vegetable and a bready caramel undertone. The finish was long, dry, meaty and vegetal. Not good at all.
