12 oz bottle from acknud; nose of yeast, nutmeg, cloves, and a bit of light caramel and funkiness; urine yellow with a medium white head; flavor is bigtime yeastiness, mild hop bitterness, and the everpresent spices; finish spicy and light alcohol warmth! Nose had me hoping for the descriptions tartness, but no cigar!

Bottle (12 oz) from Wine Cellar. Light tropical fruit and candi sugar aromas. Hazy brassy color with a white head that did weird lacing in its departure. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is orangy, clovey spicy with a touch of n-amyl acetate. The finish is not dry, but it is spicey. Extremely pleasant, and likely deadly in large bottles or on tap. There’s no heat, and it goes down really easily.

Clear golden amber body with a medium creamy off-white head that lasts with slight belgian lace. Sweet light banana and sugar aroma with light spice. Spicy flavor with light banana and a sweet sugary finish,. Smooth sugary finish with a full body and moderately high carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a cloudy yellow with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with some sweet malt. Taste is a mix between some interesting fruity ester, some sweet malt which may include some wheat. Full body with some great carbonation but some light alcoholic phenol which were not too upfront. While I really enjoyed this beer I thought it lacked some complexity and subtlety.

Thanks to beastiefan2k for the bottle - pours a fizzy, hazy golden, with a small ring of soapy foam - quite a complex aroma, with honey, wildflowers, banana, peaches, coriander and green cardamom - fairly soft mouthfeel considering the high carbonation - strong belgian fruity esters dominate, along with a medium honey and overripe banana sweetness, making the beer taste like juicy fruit chewing gum at times - a wee bit of light grain flavor, along with apricot and mango - alcohol becomes somewhat apparent in the long, sweet finish - a little too sweet, but quite tasty - I still wish bells would make more belgian ales.

12 oz. bottle from Lukas Liquors, KCMO. Pour is golden with visible haze and sediment, carbonation bubbles and a one inch pure white head. Aroma is sweet fruit (over-ripe banana?), some spicy yeast and some ginger. Taste is more fruit, though now its more of apple / pear, not at all banana like the nose. After the initial fruitiness, I get ginger, clove, spiciness - then a pretty decent blast of heat. Really full malty body. I am not real sure what this beer is, or what it is trying to be, but it is pretty tasty. A bit disjointed and hot perhaps, but still pretty tasty. The suspend particles in this beer are very impressive. Until the last sip, they were still hanging there.

12 ounce bottle from CrellMoset. Thanks! Pours an amber color with a thin head. Poor head retention, fair lacing. Small particles float throughout the beer. Sweet aroma with candi sugar, cereal, caramel and fruit notes. Taste is grain, caramel, and subtle fruity esters. Medium bodied.

This beer is certainly not sparkling, I was mislead. It’s almost flat and there’s also no sparkling going on in the glass. Pale yellow flat american lager color and appearance. I don’t know how bells gets off calling this sparkling, it is the opposite of sparkling. It’s clear when poured into the glass and there is gunk on the bottom of the bottle, in case you want a hypnotizing swirling effect like unfiltered wheat. Not even in the same boat as Leute Bokbier. Dissapointing flavor of coating syrup. Not impressed. Probably on par with Bush Ambrée (Scaldis). Not bad for a strong ale but WTF with the name? How ’bout they just write ’euro strong ale’ on the label? I’m not good enough for this brewery! Hides the alky well for a 9%-er.

Murky dark yellow bordering on amber body below a frothy, off-white head that diminishes to islands of foam. The nose is bready and spicy with yeasty notes of barnyard and clove. Some floral aromas and hints of lemon also emerge. The flavor is slightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body. The mouthfeel is velvety that turns slightly sticky in the finish. Lively carbonation. The finish display some peppery alcohol. Very good.

Bottle: Golden pour with a small white head. Fruity nose with yeast and apple cider. Taste is yeast with sours; a bit of fruitiness too. Seemed a bit acidic to me and wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for. Thanks Eithcubes for the trade bonus.
