This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

Dark ruby pour, small offwhite head. Deep aroma of doughy malts, and very very light resinous hops. Quite malty, some caramel, and bready malts. Finish is a medium bitterness with a slight hop bite. Pretty underwhelming.

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with caramel, dried apricots, crisp-bread, treacle-toffee, resin, candy sugar and orange peel. Malty, fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, crisp-bread, caramel, apricots, treacle-toffee, orange peel, resin and a generous resiny, citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

A dark reddish copper brown ipa with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of nutty notes, nice herbaceous floral hops, licorice notes, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth, even after a few years.

A weirdly malty IPA, lots of grapefruit in the nose and something else I couldn’t quite pick out, very familiar and nostalgic. Good beer.

Hazy Dark Red Amber Color, Medium Head, Light Thin Lacing. Faint Floral Hop Aroma. Malt, Floral Hop, Moderate Bitter. Better Than Their Regular Lineup but not Really Up To Par With Good Little Guys. OK.

bottle. like the grumpy monk, and like most Sam Adams beers - pretty underwhelming. A macro trying to make a micro.

Bottled @Stop&Go, Ponce, PR. Batch 2, 3.25usd! Dark copper-brown color, creamy beige head, lace. Bready, dark fruity, licoricey, slightly oxidiced. Medium-bodied. Licorice, oxidiced madeira. Earthy hops and caramel in the flavor. Bottle seems old but not hopeless. Aged quite interestingly.
