This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

Pours a reddish-copper color with a medium off-white head that diminishes slowly to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of piney hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter resin hops character and notes of pine, citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy up front with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent all around.

12 ounce bottle. Deep orange, red color topped by a small rocky beige head. Fresh citrusy, pine needle aroma with hints of caramel and toasted malt. Resiny, citrus hop flavor plays off the roasted malt palate. Hints of raisins and bourbon come to mind. Not overly complex, but layered nicely. Lingering bitter hop finish makes this a worthy IPA.

12 oz draft pour at the Martin City Brewing Company in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a mostly clear golden auburn, with a nicely formed light tan head. The aroma is caramel malt and a nice dose of orange citrus hoppiness, balanced, though leans towards the malt. The taste is the same nice balance between the round citrus hops and the caramel lightly sweet malt, and a dry mineral finish. The palate is med to light bodied. Nice.
