Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

Clear, Deep Amber Color, Small White Cap, Short Retention, Runny Ring Of Lacing Leaves Few Dashes and Spots. Sweet, Grainy Malt, Hoppy Aroma. Grainy Malt, Slightly Sweet, Moderate Hop Bitter. Slightly Sweet, Grainy Malt, Light Hop Bitter Aftertaste. Not Really A Hefe... If We Ignore Style, Then it is A Fairly Decent Brew... OK...

Originally rated December 2010. Thanks to my parents for bringing this one back from the States. Big foamy white head that stays a long, long time, and creates patchy lacing. Hazy golden-beige colour with decent carbonation. Mild aromas and taste of wheat malt with a touch of citrus. An overall refreshing hefeweizen, but lacking the punch that are found in German ones.

Bottle. A- Wheat, corn, butter, lemon. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Slightly sweet, corn, wheat, water, yeasty, subtle banana. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, wheat finish. O- Not too flavorful. Far from being horrible, but just lacks a lot of the great qualities I love in a Hefe. Not overly satisfying.
