Darkest brown. Aroma is toffee dark malt raisins dates oak caramel cream. Taste is Coconut with bitter melasses and toffee. Plum raisin finish. A bit alcohol as well. Balanced smooth oily and full bodied. Great.

Bottle, many thanks herrklemann! Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is wood, caramel, vanilla, a bit boozy. Taste is caramel, vanilla, thick fudge, a touch raisins, nice fruit character, coconut. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good!

Bottle. darkest brown, brown cream. Oxidized praline, iron, some booze. Medium full body, spongecake, sparkles, liquor, wood blood and iron, sweet perfumed, chocolate and caramel sticky finish.

Bevog Fest 17. Nuts, sherry, grains, red wine shallots, dark cocoa. Light sweetness that builds up with it getting boozier, umami. BWIL!

0.33 l bottle, paperbag, wax. Bought at Beerlovers, Vienna. Shared with lovely Anja. Murky dark reddish-brown, minimal head. Intense aroma, lots of barrel here. Dried fruits, figs, walnut. Fruit jam. Chocolate. Dark bread. Charred wood. Very complex. Sweet with a gentle roasty note 📝. Thick texture, oily or silky and strong. Lasting finish with alcohol warmth.

Aroma of bourbon, wood, dried fruits, caramel fudge, dark chocolate, vanilla, sherry, some booze.
Tastes similar, with subtle tobacco, slight coffee.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes warm, medium sweet, medium boozy, a bit dry, with wood, bourbon, dark fruits, caramel fudge.

Tasty! Heavy and complex, with layers of dark malts and spirits barrels. More on the sweet side, while with enough wooden dryness. Great Barley Wine, comparable to classics like Thomas Hardy's Ale.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of alcohol, wood, vanilla, caramel and dark fruit. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet roasted malt and licorice, follows by vanilla, chocolate and wood, mouthfeel is warming alcoholic and spicy, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. No coconuts as in the first blend, but tastes even better...
