Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured near clear caramel brown with a light brown head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had a nice brandy note with sweet grains, caramel and a hint of toffee. Flavor was sweet with cookie, caramel and sweet grains with just a hint of brandy.

Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar - thanks! Clear maroon. Aroma of butterscotch. Taste of caramel and whiskey. Nicely done, considering it was a buck fifty a bottle!

bottle thanks to JCapriotti pours dark brown with a medium light tan head. Aroma is strong brandy and vanilla with oak notes. Flavor really takes me by surprise. I mean the aroma was awesome but the flavor is not disappointing. Rich roasty brown ale with full fig and toasted malt notes ends with s rich sweet and creamy brandy flavor that complements the beer so well. This is top notch stuff. My only complaint would be that it’s a tad thin, but I feel bad even saying that.

18th October 2008. Clear brown beer with a creamy head. Mild carbonation. Sweet malty beer - lovely balanced tones of vanilla oak and mild brandy. Semi dry brandyish finish. Very very quaffable!

Thanks to MIBRomeo for the trade. This beer pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany color with a medium thick and foamy light beige head that diminishes pretty quickly. Thin top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Wood, malt and touches of alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied with a strong chocolate malt character. Hints of plum, alcohol and roasted malt flavors as well. The finish is chewy with a resonating brandy flavor and a light hops aftertaste. Well done.
