This was the beer we had in mind when we decided to brew Chinese craft beers. Honey Ma Gold is an easy-drinking ale enlivened by floral Sichuan peppercorns and local honey from an apiary near the Great Wall. The Honey Ma Gold was GLB's first brew and still our proudest creation.

Sampled @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2017, Yellow Session. Fast klare goldgelbe Farbe. Geruch ist floral, würzig hopfig, lemon, Fernost Gewürze. Geschmack nach Gewürzen, limetten, Thai Gemüse.

On tap at their main brewery #45. Honey ma gold 6.3% deep gold almost the same color as chesty puller. The aroma is grainy earthy and rough - kind of skunky. Rough malt and some kind of herbal component similar to coriander, not bad.

Tap@Boxing Cat/Great Leap Takeover, Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - golden amber coloured pour with off-white head. Aroma and taste is sweet with notes of caramel, honeysuckle, some light floral and herbal action going on, light pepper spice bite in the finish.
