Bottle. Pours a very slightly hazy orangish copper with a pretty decent sized head and lackluster aromas for an IPA. You will smell mostly sweet malts and a bit of citrus hops (pineapple and oranges). Flavor has too much malt and it is a kind of dusty graininess to it. Hops are there, but subdued.

Location: Had this one many times, most recent was on tap at Gilly's
Aroma: Sweet, Hoppy aroma
Appearance: Amber beer, strong color. Decent Lacing
Flavor: You can taste the nice hops here, but it doesn't overwhelm
Palate: Light/Medium Body
Overall Impression: It's a pretty average IPA, but hey, it's a great style. Fun logo, not that that really adds anything.

Clear coloured deep amber body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of metal, fresh hops, cherries and strong malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Sharp taste of hops up front with malt and fruit following behind. Aftertaste is more mellow, showing hops, cardboard and some fruit. Overall, a decent IPA, not too strong, but showing some fruity qualities. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 04-July-2005.

Bottle, actually no this was on tap as I recall at The Devils Alley, Philadelphia 17-11-08 Described as ‘Being brewed with ‘seven different types of hop, gives this medium bodied IPA a distinctive bite’ This beer poured mid amber with really good clarity. Another beer that was served a little too cold for my liking and so the expected hoppy nose was blunted somewhat. The first taste is well really lovely hops but you can tell that there are a number of different types all lending their own characteristics. There is a heavy perfumey taste and also a slightly numbing taste coming from this beer, I liked this beer but as it wasn’t mine it was quite swiftly taken back by Loz. A6 A5 F7 P5 Ov14 3.6

Courtesy of GMCC2181. 12oz bottle poured clear deep copper with firm tan head. The aroma isn’t much like an IPA with a solid caramelized maltiness, some crystal malts and I’m struggling to pick up any hops of any kind. The taste is much the same with crystal malts starting things off and then a growing malt caramelization peaking about midway is joined up with a light dark fruity essence. For the hops I briefly get moments of pine and citrus hoppiness. It ends mildly roasty with lingering caramel sweetness. Enjoyable beer but if you are really in the mood for an IPA this may not be the call.

Cloudy reddish gold, pretty with a beige fluffy head....aroma is sweet, a fresh orange-apple blend--undertones of lemon....body is medium to light and refreshing....subtle citrus notes, more apple for some reason....unusual for an IPA....good though...not much else going on here....fresh and clean, you know what I mean?

Bottle. Aroma of hops and tropical fruit. Very fruity taste. Definitely not formidable. A nice drink, but not what I look for in an IPA.

Va BF 07 Draft: Very well balanced and delightful strawberry and hop aroma. Reddish copper color with no head. Well hopped flavor, a tad bitter. Hop finish.

On tap at the Trivia pub in Moon. The pour is hazy orange brown yellow and it has an off whitish annulus around the inside edge of the glass for a head. The aroma of this brew is medium light hops and if I didn’t smell real close, I may have missed it. Later as you drink, the hop aroma becomes more apparent. The first taste of this is definitely hoppy, but it lacks the overwhelming hoppyness that I have become so used to with other IPA. How can this possibly be 8%? It hides the alky content very well. There is no carbonation or if there is, I simply cannot detect it. I am not a lover of the IPA style and the lightness of this IPA will probably make it one of the better tasting IPAs in my opinion. Except for the lack of carbonation, this may be an IPA that the beginners can sink their teeth into. It does not possess that oppressive big turn off bitter citrus peel medicinal quality that coats the inside of your mouth and lingers forever. Finish is medium bitter and it does linger, but only for a short time. The linger is easy to get over from a lagerlovers point of view. Overall, I would consider this a light IPA.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fresh aroma of citrus and some sweet caramel. Medium body with sweet notes of caramel and some odd chewing gum notes. A moderate bitterness - the sweetness prevails. Courtesy of xproudfoot - thanks Chris.181106
