I had this beer last year (2010) at Emelisse. Unclear amber color. Sour smell, bit artificial. Sour taste. Reasonably good carbo.

On tap at Emelisse Oktoberfest, although I’m not really sure if it was this one. Hazy reddish amber colour, off white head. Aroma is light sour, brett, cherries, wood. Flavour is light sour, cranberry-juice like, cherry pits, bitter woody finish. Light bodied.

Draught ZBF: Poured a ruby red with pinkish white head. Aroma is cherries and sherry. Taste is bitter fruit cherries and a nice mellow sherry twist, not overwhelming.

On tap at Zythos Beer Festival 6th March 2010 Pours reddy brown quite a murky appearance. Some cherries on the nose, but there is also the aroma of cobwebby room. This isn’t as tart or as sour as expected, but there is some sour cherry & woodiness and a touch of yeastiness. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Hazy dark orange with a medium off white head. Sour aroma with sour berries, lacto and hints of baking yeast. Flavour was sour with lacto, red berries, roasted malt and wood. Finished sour. Style is wrong here. Clearly a sour. What can you say...

Draught Deep red, hazy beer with a small to medium, very fine pink head. Wry sour cherries’ aroma, very full & fruity, inviting. Dry, wry fruit, full bodied with fruitslickness. Served too cold, actually. Aftertaste has some weird, but not unpleasant medicinal flavour. A good kriek, well-worth tasting.
