Very dark maroon, 6 bubble head, yet very effervescent. Aroma of roasted coffee. Very thin. Not complex. I had to taste it 3 times before I could remember it enough to write down my impression.

A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and oatmeal, leading to a dry roasted end.

Deep red body with a large off-white head. Light roasted malt aroma. Sweet heavy chocolate flavor with some roasted malt hints.

Draught at Dulles Airport. Good chocolate brown with some ambers in there. Nice beige head. Smells lightly hoppy, with some very sweet malt. Opens up smooth and and almost velvety but for a bit much of carbonation. That dies off as it warms and leaves a pleasant hops flavor that is buried beneath chocolate malt and light hazlenut flavors. Fairly chewy malt profile, good crisp finish. I was impressed. Flavors complemented each other well, though in all it did get a bit sweet on the end.

Looks like a mixed black & tan...no surprise there...smells like a straight ale. A very bland beer with no great aftertaste!

Very black. Sweet coffeeish palate. Could use more body, a bit watery.......
