Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy golden with big light fluffy white head. Little lacing, light body, medium effervescent carbonation, and light estery aroma. Taste is orange, rich estery malt, tartness, and some coriander. Pretty good, but not one of my favorites.

750 ml bottle purchased @ Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, R.I. for $9.59. Perfect looking beer in my Ommegang chalice. Nose is a vibrant Belgian yeast and orange peel. Taste is a zesty orange, yeast and lemons. Not much coriander which is a huge plus for me right now. Sweet malts and lots of citrus. Body is light and gives really easy drinkability. Very nice Witbier!

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly cloudy golden straw color with a nice 3 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Good foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge pear, apple, grape, herbal, lemon, earth, pepper, wheat, coriander, and yeast spices. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of pear, grape, apple, wheat, pepper, herbal, lemon, earth, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of light fruits, herbal, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Great balance and complexity of flavors; with no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly slick and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian imperial witbier! Very nice complexity and balance of flavors; very smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this one.

24/VII/2012 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: not indicated on bottle - (2012-749) Thanks to John for sharing the bottle!
Cloudy yellow beer, big unstable head, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sweet, floral, soapy, honey, malty. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet start, floral, some honey, fruits. Aftertaste: sweet, floral, bit soapy, sugary. Not impressed, but probably this was an old bottle. But how to tell, if you put no date on your bottles?

750 mL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a medium, white head. The aroma is vanilla, corn, and mild cheese. The flavor is sweet and funky. The palate is medium, sticky and syrupy. Overall, this is a cloyingly sweet and yeasty beer, but it lacks the citrus aroma that makes a good witbier. Fair.

Bottle @ Chad’s house. Moderately hazy, light yellow appearance with a fluffy, white head. Lots of coriander, mild orange peel, somewhat yeasty, light wheat malty nose. Light bodied, light wheat malty, coriander, spicy, citrusy flavor. Spicy, coriander aftertaste. Quite spicy, somewhat bready.

Tap, City Beer Store. A big but very drinkable witbier. This beer is a concentrated dose of summer. The aroma is all sunny wheat, mild spices, citrus and yeasty goodness. The taste is sweet but pleasing with a dry, yeasty finish. The citrus, sugary lemons and tangerines, is stronger in the mouth. Mouthfeel is light but full, rich but drinkable. It’s interesting on the palate, managing to be both thick and light. I didn’t expect to like this beer so much, but it won me over.
