0.33 l can from AH (Sittard), best before June 2017. Clear, dark reddish brown with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, minimally roasty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and slightly hints of nuts. Rather sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel and brown sugar, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

At Maakun’s. Shared from bottle. Brown with thin tan head. Malty feel. Brown sugar and old leaves. Over medium sweet, light bitter, raisans. About medium body and soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Bit dusty.

Bottle as Gerijpte Herfstbok thanks to sjogro. Clear mahogany with beige head. Massive brown sugar and caramel. Some cardboard and raisins but mostly just sugar. Quite sweet with light artificial bitterness. Just medium bodied with slick feel.

Flesje gedeeld met vrienden. Weinig aroma, ietsje caramelachtig. Smaak is zoet (honing) en hoppig. De nasmaak is licht bitter.

Caramel aroma. Sweet taste with a little bitterness after taste. Better than the gerijpte version, which is too sweet.

[9/22/15] Bottle at Asia’s place in Amsterdam. Clear amber-brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark bread, a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, very caramelly, with a bit of toast, and a bitterish finish with a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, a bit sticky.

The beer starts very sweetish caramelly. Fresh and easy to drink, not much depth, sweetish brown sugar on a grainy body. Not much bitterness, grainy aftertaste with caramelly sweetish burned sugar. For me too sugary sweet.
