From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Clear, dark reddish amber. Sweetish-malty, roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and brown sugar. Sweetish-malty, roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla, followed by a medium long, roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice!

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016.

Bottle sampled at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Almost black with small beige head. Stale coffee, coffee dregs, roasted hazelnuts, soft fresh cut wood, some maple syrup, a bit of chalk and old twigs. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel and low carbonation.

Black. Has a really intense flavour of heavily roasted malts and espresso. The maple adds a light sweetness in the finish but it is quite subtle.

Slow gusher!
Clear dark brown beer, huge fizzy beige to brown head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, banana, sweet, dried fruits, bit floral, hoppy, fruity, bit chemical. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of dark chocolate, some' alcohol, coffee, bit of caramel, sweet malts. Aftertaste: sweet, cocoa powder, very roasted, pretty hoppy.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, medium sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of coffee, some chocolate, bready malts. Bit sweet in taste, lots of bitter coffee, bit spicy even, roast. Very decent coffee porter. Didnt get a lot of the maple syrup, but that was probably overwhelmed by decent amounts of coffee. Good beer.

Bottle shared by Caesar. Opaque dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma is malts and heavy coffee. Tastes about the same: malts, brown malts, coffee, lightly maple syrup I guess and lightly bitter. Decent body and carbonation.
