Wer A sagt, muss auch U sagen.
Ungespundet, ungefiltert und unverschämt gut. Halt a U, wie es bei uns heißt. Man hat ja schließlich nicht ewig Zeit zum Bestellen. Und was kommt auf den Tisch, wenn man „a U“ ordert? Eine ganz besondere, hefetrübe Bierspezialität mit vollmundig-weichmalzigem Charakter. Angenehm herb und mit wenig Kohlensäure ist es ein Bier, das zur Brotzeit genauso gut passt wie zum entspannten Feierabend. Hat da einer „Kultbier“ gesagt? Naja, uns soll´s recht sein. Ach ja, „ein“ U, kann man natürlich auch sagen. Aber die Erfahrung zeigt, dass es selten bei einem bleibt.

On tap at Ambasada, Zagreb. Clear golden, small lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, yeasty and sour cabbage aroma. Bready, caramely and lightly fruity, tart berries, yeasty flavour or possible light infection. Cloying, creamy, too smooth. Lacks drinkability. Finishes slightly sweet.

Bottledfrom Whole Foods/Bowery. Pours a cloudy brownish amber. Aroma is faintly caramel, buttery is a great description. Nice little hop bite at the back half.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 27: kellerbier). Bottle 50 cl - Batch undeclared (BB: 17.06.25) AROMA: medium malty aroma with cereal, slight cracker and honey notes. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear with thin particulates in suspension. medium-large ivory head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low malt notes with a slightly malty-sweet character. faint honey notes. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a nice everyday german lager-beer.

Bottle. Golden in color with a big three to four finger head. Aroma is lightly roasted grains. Taste was a well balance joy with delicious grains and a well balanced after taste. Really good.

Bottle at home De Laat. Opaque orangeish golden pour with a white head. Caramel, bread, and loads of honey both in aroma and taste, medium thickish chewy body and soft carbo.

330 ml bottle, as mahrsbräu aU, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Aroma of malts, and floral and herbal hops. Flavour of malts, yeast with some fruit, and herbal hops. Decent Kellerbier.
