12/7/2024. From BIAB at the 33rd Ealing Beer Festival. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet, apple, vanilla, citrus. Quite sweet, light bitterness and very light tartness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation.

Box @ Stable, Birmingham. Pours clear golden yellow, fruity nose, no sherry. Taste has a nice golden lightly stewed apple fruit character, sadly very little sweet Pedro Ximenez influence here, little oaky woody elements, but comes across as a pleasant medium.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2019. A clear bright yellow straw coloured pour with no head. Aroma is semi sweet, oaky vanilla, tangy apple, Warming alcohol. Palate is semi sweet, and drying oak, tannin, little grape. Flavour is composed of semi sweet tannin, oak, sherry, white grape, good.

Bladder bag at the Stable, Bingoham - scoping ciders with the old man, 02/08/19. Clear golden with a thin cap of white edge seeking bubbles. Nose is crisp apple, straw, light wood. Taste comprises apple, tannins, sweet edge, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the close. Decent.

Cask at Stormbird, Camberwell July 2019. Pours clear straw with minimal head. Aroma: crisp apple, semi sweet, oak, straw Taste: light to moderate sweet, tannins, oak sherry barrel, grape hints. Dry finish. Medium body with low/no carbonation. Nice.

Bag in a box at Made Inn Ashford. Clear gold colour no head. Some sweetness from the px no doubt. The base cider is OK. Medium dry. Light apple fruit perfume on the aroma. Dryish finish. Some px sweetness. OK I thought. Was hoping for better.

Cask @ Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak NW5. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy vanilla apple woody aroma. Sweetish spicy apple vanilla flavor. Has a sweetish spicy woody vanilla apple finish.

BIAB at Half Moon, Darlington. Golden colour, no lasting head and aroma of juicy apple. Taste is mellow apple, sweetish, toffee & dried fruit, with lingering juicy vanilla and sherry hints. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low soft carbonation, drying finish. Nicely drinkable.
