Tropic Thunder is a joint effort with nomadic brewer Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal. We brewed this sour ale with lactobacillus and let it ferment with plentiful mango, passion fruit and peach. Sweet!
There's a simple and straight forward story to this not so simple and straight forward beer. The idea was that we wanted to make a beer that tastes like a popsicle. A beer as refreshing as those ice cold, fruity treats we loved as kids. And you know what, we succeeded!

Pours hazy golden with a thick white head. Aroma of mango. Taste has a pleasant interplay between lactose and tropical notes that include mango pineapple and peach. Palate has continued tartness from the lactose notes as well as a pleasant finish. Great beer!

Pretty clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of pears, passion fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sour start, pretty acidic, fruity, more passion fruits, lemon juice. Aftertaste: little bitter, super fruity.
