Brewed with 2-row pale, red wheat and acidulated malt, San Franpsycho IPA pours a hazy golden straw color with a white fluffy head. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth yet mildly effervescent with a hint of back-end tartness. This IPA is fermented with a mixed culture of yeast to create a unique and fruity estery nose, unlike any other IPA from Anchor. The brewers adds peach and apricot fruit puree during the secondary fermentation

Pours pretty hazy orange colour, topped with smaller and not so lasting white head. Pleasant and easy to note fruity nose with apricots and some peaches. Moderate bitterness, a bit dry with just a hint of fruit. A bit metallic in the aftertaste. Medium light body. Aroma promises a lot but the taste somehow doesn't deliver.

Bottled 355ml. -at Valhalla Zagreb. Unclear yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, light apricot in the nose. Moderate malty, apricot (slightly artificial), light acidic notes and touch of plums and metal with short fruity finish. Not for my taste.

On tap at a pizza place in San Mateo. Slightly hazy yellow-orange with full white head that patterns well. Grainy with the good rather restrained.

Bottle from DamiΓ‘n bottle shop Pours hazy gold with tall white head. Loads of citruses on nose. Taste is bit unbalanced, starts citrusy with candies and bitter ending. It's fine but..

12 oz bottle. Aroma is dough, peach, apricot, Smarties. Pours hazy golden with a thick off-white head with excellent retention. Taste is moderately bitter and lightly tart with flavors like the aroma, some grapefruit pith; weirdly boozy for only 6.3%. Perfect creamy mouthfeel. Not bad, but not as good as it should be.

Bottled 355ml (Alko web, local importer has stamped BB 06.02.2020 - what a joke)
A bit hazy yellow colour, medium-sized off-white head. Suprisingly dry, even harsh aroma, some overriped tropical fruits. Apricot puree is evident in the flavour, some peach too. It is not "juicy" at all. Jammy fruity, pale malty with light spicey hops. Drinkable yes but not really good beer.

Rated Sept. 2018. 12oz bottle pours with a near clear copper gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up notes of malts, a sliver of cracker, some fruity esters and then floral hops, herbally hops and some woodines. The taste delivers malts, minerals and bitter floral hops. To midway a bitter grapefruit like hoppiness emerges tangled with the mineral notes and some malty esters. Interesting.

Not a fan of fruited IPAs, but Anchor knows how to make the style tolerable. Probably because they keep the juicy notes muted; much like last year's Blackberry Daze IPA, San Franpsycho doesn't slap you in the face with adjuncts. Rather, the beer allows the peach and apricot to take their time to develop on the palate, making their presence known on the back end with a subtle tart stone fruit sweetness. Mild biscuit and caramel notes shore up the base, while the back end grows a floral hop bitterness with mild veins of pine and dank. Pours a beautiful gold with a neverending white head and a thick layers of lace. Nose is lacking--pine and mild peach, but nothing amazing--yet the texture is easygoing and smooth, medium-bodied and imminently swiggable. Liking this beer more and more as the pint disappears.

Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Floral and sour vinous aroma. Ahhh - just noticed it contains peach and apricot. Cloudy pale gold. Massive foamy white head. Light bitter with a sour edge. Citrus but the two fruits seem to cancel each other out so neither is particularly distinctive. Medium bodied. Smooth with some creamyness to it. Soft - flat carbonation. Long dry finish. Refreshing if somewhat restrained.
