1l bottle from Lidl. Clear golden. Apple peel, apple core, lemon, quince, light apple vinegar. Dry sourness. Light bodied, watery texture, soft to low carbonated, dry finish. Quite ok for the price!

Bottle. Pours clear plae golden with no head. Clear aroma of fermented apples, with some notes yeast. Dry flavour of apples and acid, with rough touches of yeast. Acidic aftertaste. Well, cheap and perhaps cheerful but not very tasty.

Bottle, 5.5%. Good citric apple aroma. Clear pale golden colour. No head, and the Apfelwein is flat by the looks of it. The flavour is citric and watery. Has a little tannic apple core note, but not too much. Waxy finish. Thin.

Säuerlich trockener Antrunk mit minimaler Karbonisierung. Spritzige Apfelnoten, die Säure steigt an. Die Apfelnoten flachen dabei nicht ab, wie es oft passiert, sondern verharren auf ihrem Level. Spritzig, mittellanger, eher trockener Nachhall. Ok. 7/9/10/9/8/9

Sampled from 1 l bottle from local ’LIDL’. Clear, pale greenish yellow with a few white bubbles on top. Slightly sweetish, sourish and slightly fruity aroma of sour apples, some wood and hints of hay. Minimally sweetish, moderately sour, not overly fruity taste of sour apples, some wood and hints of pear, followed by a short, moderately tart, a bit woody finish. Thin body, moderately astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

Bottle at the ISHA Marburg national drinks party. Poured a pale golden body. Light appley nose, glue. Watery, tangy taste, some apples and glue again. The acidity manages not to be excessive. Slightly perfumey and soapy apple notes. Ok I guess.
