On tap at Lord Nelson Brighton. Black beer thin tan head. Served too cold. Some roast malt. Some dark chocolate. A dark roasted stout. Some dry roast on finish. Cold in mouth. Not thin bit not fulfilment of a Cask beer. Fizzy. Decent fizzy keg stout. I mean good bit still too cold and fizzy . I loved the dark chocolate roast though.

Can: Literally black - quelle surprise - with a creamy and stable off-white head; moderate dryish and complex nose of toasted malt, chocolate andfreshly ground coffee with traces of dried fruits; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied, smooth; lingering dryish finish of - mainly - coffee and chocolate. A comfortable brew...

Bodney Towers Bottleshare. Thanks to Scopey for the can, Light haze on this amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, very light. modest fine carbonation. Fluffy and insubstantial dark malts, tangy too. Trace of dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Smooth finish. Fine. No Harvey's eggy yeast here at least but it's a fluffy and un-involving stout.

Can. A stocking filler from Wingmane. Cheers Dave. Clear, mahogany brown. Film of sticky, beige head. Nose has sugary roast malt. Hint of coffee. Woody and a little earthy. Some toffee. Taste is sugary coffee sweet, with some ashy, woody bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Plenty of depth at the ABV. Nice balance on the finish.

Can from Rudat. Deep black roasted nose. The beer starts deep and thick. Lots of roast, very dry but sessionable. Malty, rich and nice roast bittered. Smooth, deep, fantastic.

Can shared in Hackney - thanks to Scopey. Pours reddish brown with a creamy, off-white head. Sugary dark malts in the nose, brown bread, berries. Medium sweet flavour with low bitterness, a little cocoa, mild roast, leathery berries. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, more cocoa, ashy roast, aged berries. Very nice.
