Malt beverage aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla.

We take a big American stout and stuff it into a bourbon barrel where is lays dormant until it is ready to meld itself with vanilla and blossom into it’s own creation. Enjoy!

Bottle. Nearly black, light brown head. Vanilla, bourbon and chocolate aroma. Sweet flavour with light boozy warmth. More vanilla and bourbon. Nicely balanced, good creamy mouthfeel, nicely drinkable.

Tap @ Rbabarrab. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 110919

Draught @ Beer Run. Opaque dark brown with practically no head, just frothy remnants of off-white foam, sharp woodsy whiskey aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet medium bitter woodsy roasted malt-bourbon taste, hint of vanilla, thin body, long finish. The vanilla flavor is all but submerged under the whisky.

Pours dark brown, no real head. Smell is mild vanilla, mild booze. Not very intense. taste is full, bit booozy. Dark chocolate. Some vanilla. Not very thick. Tasty, but too sharp on the booze perhaps.

We meet again, but a fresh one now, and from tap. And a massive difference it is. Not thin at all, but creamy and soft. Plenty bourbon, quite boozy, and lots of vanilla, but without turning metallic or synthetic. Very well made!

Tap@Rbabarrab, Copenhagen (16082019) - black with a thin beige head. Dark sweet malty with rich velvety chocolate, some caramel and toffee sweetness, medium and full body, vanilla accented dark sweet malty finish. Lovely.
