Forget what you knew about lagers. Here, we have something special. We are talking about a craft beer. A craft lager.
The carefully formulated recipe, the exact proportions between base, aromatic and caramelized malts, the use of single variety noble hops and the differentiation in the fermentation process give Notos Gold Lager its special color, full body, balanced bitterness and distinctive aroma.
Bottle conditioned and lagering at low temperatures add an extra flavor and aroma to make it stand out from any other lager.
No additives, no preservatives, no artificial colors, no lies... It does not contain rare ingredients, it is not brewed under the moonlight and it is not bottled by elves of the night ...
100% barley malt, water, hops and yeast. Just a craft lager as it should be .

Unclear yellow, white head. Unfiltered it seems
Aroma is slightly fruity then neutral malty. Like a decent lager homebrew.flavor is fruity and sweet nutty malty, a little buttery caramel --- Beer aliased from original tick of Gold Lager on 06 Aug 2019 at 00:25 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. Original review text: bottle from supermarket close to the harbor in chania. clear yellow, small wite head. sweetish aroma, mountain flowers and sweet mountain herbs. flavor is straw, herbal bitterness, malts, hoppy bitterness. fairly decent tasting sweet lager, souther european in style, but it does have a macro hop flavorless straw like bitterness that does not fit entirely well. the bitterness and sweetness does not go well together. 420/

0,33 l bottle from a supermarket at Rethymno, Crete. Golden in the glass, slightly cloudy, small one finger white head. Caramel aroma with some citrus. Tste has also caramel, pale grainy, some pale malt, little bit bready, hints of dishing soap. Above average carbonation. Okay.

Bottle shared with Laura while on holiday. Unclear apple juice color, small white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, nicely hayish, quite full of flavor, rich more than lagers mostly are imo. Quite surprised in a positive way.

Bottle, 5%. Malty, papery aroma, quite vinous. Cloudy golden colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is malty with notes of malt bread. Overripe apricot. Thin mouthfeel. Low to medium bitterness.

Bottle from the brewery enjoyed at the Heraklion apartment. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, green weeds, grass, light herbal hops and light malt. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Gresk aften hos Bryne, og vi er i gang med å glede oss over innholdet i Odd Gunnars importkoffert: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Fin duft og god smak med citrusfrukter og noen lett tropiske. Mersmak i 4,2%.
