A New England-Style IPA brewed and double dry-hopped with juicy American hops. Birds has become a staple of our roster because of its fruit-forward flavors of dank citrus and passionfruit, coupled with a smooth finish and creamy mouthfeel.

16 oz can from Tavour. Orange golden pour, one finger head subsides to a patchy cap. Fruity, citrus aroma with some tropical notes. Taste is more bitter than fruity, citrus zest, grapefruit, pear nectar.

On tap at Lamplighter, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back, with moderate dank hops, some citrus and stone fruity juiciness. Flavour follows accord, with creamy piney hops, tropical stone fruits and a bit of citrus. Not at all yeast like some NE IPAs. Excellent balanced, with a lightly bitter and highly juicy finish. Really nice.

On tap at the brewery Cambridge Boston. I've got a feeder for you to perch on. Hazy orange gold colour lasting white head. Hoppy but better fruit on this one more solid on the satsuma orange flavour. More fruit juicy. I'm fact pretty delicious. Liked it.

Pours hazy dark gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Overripe citrus and lemon joy aromas. Soft with overripe mango and papaya upfront turning to earthy resin in the medium length finish.

16 oz. can in a trade with Chalumeaux. Can dated 6/16/17 with the message "This bird is for you Spud" A cloudy bright yellow with off white head. Nose is intense on grapefruit and mild earthy resin. mild candied orange hints
The resin / or pine, is a bit bit excessive in the finish and gives a pretty stern bitterness. Mouthfeel is soft with a mellow amount of malt backing. For me pretty average but drinkable without a doubt.

Draught at The Post, 5/4/17.
Lightly-to-moderately hazy, blonde-golden with light copper accents. White head atop is small but shows modest retention.
Lots of citrus in the nose with strong pine behind it. It feels like it wants to be juicier than it is, but the bittering hop addition seems rather overdone here. Cracker and biscuit behind it, from the malt, seems nicely attenuated and the beer is clean.
Quite dry, with a bracing bitterness and light fruitiness on its tails. Candied orange, dry pineapple, lime and finally stronger pine make this one quite assertive and a lot more West Coast-oriented than the other IPAs I’ve had from them. Lightly loose, moderate carbonation with no alcohol or flaw but moderate resin lingering on the palate. Could use some more malt depth, as well.
Canned 12/13/25, drunk 2/7/26, at Daily Provisions, Harvard Square.
Good bitterness, of course, given the hops here. But the NE treatment softens everything, adding fruit and a chewy texture. Gets good and malty before drying out nicely with plenty of bitterness. Clean and snappy, well-done hops with no resin, chalk, scallion, etc...Rating is for this experience.
