Pours deep brown into a tulip. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Warm, mulled apple brandy aromas. Hot licorice, milky caramel, and cinnamon upfront turning to vanilla apple brandy in the warm, lasting finish.

On tap at Night Shift, pours a deep dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is loaded with brandy barrels upfront, with fairly assertive apples, and subdued lactose and peppers. Flavour is along the same lines, with apple brandy barrels upfront, followed by light lactose and peppers. Really like the barrel aging here. Nice stuff.

Bottle split at CBC Islo Matteo ciao, thanks to the man of the moment, 20/02/17. Black with a well appointed tan covering. Nose is roast malts, apple pie, cinammon, spice, brandy barrel, fruit pudding, light chocoalte rip. Taste comprises dark malts, candied fruits, apple brandy tamg, green pepper, cocoa powder, toffee, fruit rinds. Full bodued, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a pinch of boost. Solid impy stout action,

Bottle big thanks to Matteo! It pours darkest brown with a decent light tan head. The aroma is rather rich, sweet, big boozy brandy hit, vanilla, toasted coconut, dark chocolate, coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon and rocky road. The taste is slick, rich roasted malt, milk chocolate, rocky road, creamy character, vanilla sugar, chocolate brownie, gingerbread, cinnamon spice, oak and warming alcohol through the finish. Full body and decent carbonation. Good fun, if a touch sweet.

Matteo’s Ciao @ Craft Islington. Thanks to Matteo. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, little dark chocolate Lots of coconut. Mild cinnamon trace of something cardamon like. Modest spice. Smooth finish. Very barrely beer but surprisingly short of the apple brandy.
