Bottle from 2015. Pours a dark, brown colour with no head at all. Aroma's: sour, wood, funky, vinous. Flavour is moderate sour and light bitter. Light bodied. Dry finish. Not bad after so many years.

Clear mahogany brown colour with no head. Aroma and flavour are sharp and dry. Tart like a Rodenbach. Nothing left from of the bourbon in the taste but there's a little brown sugar and vanilla in the aroma.

Bottle from kermis’ cellar. Thanks! Dark reddish amber. Sweet berries, sour berries, cherries, wood, grape most, red wine, tannins, almond. Light sweet and quite sour and bitter. Medium body and no carbonation. Pretty fierce. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Vissenaken / h.ertie Puur Lambik De Nacht on 09 Jan 2018 at 13:20 - Score: 8

Bottle shared thanks to kermis! Clear deep mahogany with just a few bubbles. Lots of sour red berries, elderberries, light funk, hay, vanilla, quite some caramel, green leaves, light dank grass. Quite sour with soft bitterness and a hint of vanilla sweetness. Medium bodied with no carbonation. Very fruity, basically tasted like elderberry juice. Some carbonation might make it even better.

at kerstbierfestival 2015. Pours dark brown, unclear, not much head. Smell has some mild lambic notes, but is rather weak. Taste is thin, mild lambic notes. Bit dry. Undertone of weak, dark maltyness. Not a winner to me, especially after the Luna.

Thank you! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. 90% Vissenaken De Nacht, 10% lambik, 8 months aged on bourbon barrels. Bottles were filled straight from the barrel with no additional & no additional yeast according to the blender. Deep red amber with no visible carbonation. This beer is flat, giving it an unblended lambiek feel. Nous sour vinous, flat, touch watery wine, oak, vinous, oud bruin. Taste is sour oak, watery wine, red fruit, red berries, sour flat lambiek, faint sweetness from the barrel, good amount of cherries. Flat lambiek body. Quite a nice oud bruin, interesting how much evolution occurred here given that I have tried Vissenaken De Nacht at the festival & it was pretty rubbish. This would benefit from carbonation & re-fermented but a nice Oud Bruin for lovers of pure lambiek as it stands now.
