Bottle at The Beer Mongers, Portland. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, fudgy chocolate cake, mocha, Bounty, chocolate dessert flavours. Flavour is sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Full bodied and thick. Massive chocolate dessert orgy, damn tasty!

Can from Luekens Wine & Spirits, Seminole. Very very dark drown, pretty much opaque with a quickly dissipating brown head. Scent of black malt, toasted coconut, dark cooking chocolate. Tastes surprisingly sweet at first with a big hit of vanilla bean, but it turns considerably bitter by the finish. More toasted coconut in the aftertaste. Thick, oily body, medium carbonation. This is really quite something.

355ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, frothy to creamy, fading, tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, hints of chocolate cookies, a touch of vanilla, whiffs of coconut, treacle, liquorice. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, chocolate cookies, some coconut, toasted coconut, a touch of vanilla; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Creamy to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Homogeneous, quite roasty - very nice.

18/VIII/21 - on tap @ Beer Temple (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-867) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!
Cloudy black beer, small creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty start, quite some caramel, alcohol, soft roast, vanilla, coconut. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast, pretty bitter, sweet touch, more roast, lots of alcohol, bit hoppy, sugary. Aftertaste: bitter, very roasted, lots of alcohol, coffee, cocoa powder, more roast, alcohol burn, needs more coconut.
