Mild hoppy scent and the flavour is also a bit hoppy but sweet too. There’s nothing wrong with it but it’s very middle of the road.

14.9 oz. widget can from The Beer Store for $2.25. Cascading carbonation leaves a dense, thick 1 inch foamy head. Color is clear amber. Nose is a light malt. You cannot find anything offensive about the palate on this beer. Simply because it tastes like a creamy water with some malt splashed in. When the brew hit room temperature I got a very faint English hop. Light nutty notes shows up too. Texture is creamy. Well… if nothing else, it sure is easy to drink!

Tap @ Three Lions Denver. Pours a dark burnt orange appearance with a fluffy, cream colored head. Apple fruity, pear, a bit citrusy, toasted malty, earthy aroma. Apple juicy, orange citrusy, toasted cracker malty flavor. Pretty big fruit presence. A little buttery.

Originally rated September 2004. Served from the can. Poured a golden-amber colour after finishing the cascade effect (from the nitro). Formed a beautiful off-white, thick and creamy head that stayed alive throughout the experiences. It has a nose of slight bananas. The aroma is where this brew could improve. Taste starts on a slight bitter note, and ends with a smooth finish. Could also taste hints of caramel and molasse. Mouthfeel is pretty thin, but the creamy head help a lot. One great session beer.

From a widget can a large crack and hiss then in one fluid motion I pour into an awaiting glass. Foam filled glass slowly turns brilliant copper with a good two finger white head that has great retention and lace. Faint lack luster aroma is malty, earthy, with a bit of wet dog. Taste is subtle with light fruit and dark sugars. Malty and earthy taste. Medium to thin body, light level of carbonation with a creamy watery mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but not especially complex or overly flavorful. At 3.6 abv I could probably pound these all night, but the real question is would I want to?

Malty and buttery in that exclusively English style, only muted, with one of those ghastly nitro widget thingies that makes your beer feel like tepid milk. No hoppy notes to be found, only bad British beer. (9/08)

Nitro Can. Pours with a clear bronze body with a small off-white head that lasts. Aromas are sweet, bready, very estery and a bit buttery. Slight hints of marzipan. Flavors are slightly bitter up front, bready, and caramel. Overall impression of the flavors is a bit stale. Smooth, nitro mouthfeel with light carbonation.

widget can - Pours copper with a moderately sized, fluffy white head. It has a light aroma of malt and English hops. Not much. The flavor is of bland malt with a bit of caramel and some mild bitterness. It’s creamy and light bodied. It’s a really underwhelming bitter.
