A strong brew, Parislytic is an Extra Special Bitter that packs a full-flavoured punch thanks to a robust blend of malts bringing out layers of chocolate, coffee, caramel and nut. Our brewers have balanced an intense maltiness with aromatic Bobek and spicy Challenger hops, creating a clear, dark, ruby-coloured ale with a silky smooth head and a rich, lingering flavour.

'Brew d'Ausone' in Bordeaux. 'Brew de l'Industrie' in Toulouse.

Draught at the Frog & Princess. Poured a nice hazy amber-red body, lovely. Thick white head that stayed for awhile. Aroma hops, agrumey-fruity but with some light light notes of vegetables too. Liiiight soft aroma hops taste, agrumey, very light herbal acidity. some vague sweet maltiness in the end. Not that bad but again, lacks proper bitterness .

An amber ale with a thin light moka head. Sweet caramel aroma, with faint hops. In mouth, a nice roasted malt with nice nutty notes, quite true to the nut brown style. On tap at Frog & Rosbif St-Denis , June 12 2010.

Served at the Frog and Princess in Paris. No real aroma, served too cold in a pint glass for that. Some head, like a proper English bitter. Decent smooth taste, some wood flavours and barley. Very smooth and creamy, acceptable microbrewed type for its style.

Cask @ The Frog & Rosbif. Malty beer with a small touch of citrus. Not bad, but a little flat.

On cask at the Frog & Rosbif. Dark reddish copper with a good creamy beige head. Fruity caramel aroma. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Rich flavors of caramel and fruit. Tends to go a bit bland at the finish. More dry than sweet. Just a bit more dark fruity than many English ESBs.

Draught, hand-pump, at the Frog and Rosbif. Reddish gold with a dense cream head; light fruity aroma; fruity flavoues - apricot and peach - and not too sweet; gently bitter and warming finish. Excellent.

Draught, 5.2% at the Frog and Princess. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Clear amber colour. The flavour is quite fruity, seems to come from the hops along with some sweetness. The beer is a little citric, but is goes OK with the fruitiness.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep amber with an initial. Light roated malty flavour with a light breadish note. Flavour follows this closely and adds a bit of liqourice along a light sweetness to the impressiin. Ends mild roasted and lingering liqourice.
