With notes of coffee, cocoa nibs and a lingering hint of sweet vanilla this beer is dark, rich and indulgent. We keep ours in the fridge but take it out about an hour or so before we drink it as all that decadence needs a bit of warming up. We pour it fast into a tulip glass so the gorgeous coffee aromas can stretch their legs. If it’s early in the evening, an oyster or two sets it off nicely. If it’s later, a chocolate fondant rounds off this truly extravagant beer.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of chocolate and coffee. Bit charred as well. Flavour is light sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is light and watery. Surprisingly good, one of the better options if you're ever on antibiotics and crave roasted malt.

Bottle (from Prisma Vaasa). Pitch black colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is toffee, some roasted malts, ashes and mild herbs. Flavour is ashes, some toffee, chocolate and quite strong on the roasted malty side. Somewhat dry palate.

Bottle from Suffolk Food Hall, Ipswich. Black with a nice smooth texture. It's a pretty decent low alcohol stout with an abundance of chocolate in its taste.

On tap at the Stockholm Beer Festival, 2019. Pours almost black with a beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee notes. A little thin, but impressive for a gluten-free, low alcohol stout.

Drunk from bottle. Smell of roasted malt, chocolate. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Medium bitter. Finish is very light, bordering watery. Yet quite robust body for an AF. Medium carbon. Definitely one of the better AFs.

(Can) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, black rye bread, coffee, dark chocolate, hints of soy sauce and tobacco. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, milky coffee, liquorice, black rye bread, tobacco and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well made low alcohol stout. Quite enjoyable.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Sniff of the freshly opened bottle is roasted coffee beans with the nose of dark chocolate. Taste is surprisingly robust with the flavours coming out of the roasted toasted bits to make it a good beer. That is a decent effort.
