Pours a deep dark brown almost black colour with a small frothy light beige head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts and milk chocolate with a hint of dried fruit. A moderately sweet smooth roasted malt taste, cocoa powder and burnt malt flavours with a dry slightly alkaline finish. Nice.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Pours a very dark red-brown with a small beige head. Has an enticing aroma which mixes milky coffee and oats with just a hint of vanilla. In the mouth it starts off as sweet with milk chocolate, before hops andf dark fruits sweep it aside. Finish is fruity with some coffee grounds (in a good way). This is very nice indeed !

Handpull cask at the West End Brewery, Fixed Wheel Tap Takeover. Very dark brown with a spotty tan head and considerable lacing. Mill chocolate, light creamy coffee, a touch of bramble in the aroma. The taste reaches a wonderful level of sweetness before being challenged with berry-soaked bitter hops, which stay on the tongue for the long finisg. Cocoa bitters, more blackberry, some astringenxy in the aftertaste. Smooth body with sift carbonation. A winner.
