Tired at the Cardinals Hat, Lincoln. Jet black vooour with a deep tan head. Aroma coffee and light chocolate. Taste mid roasted bitter. Full smooth body.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock, pre Cotts Convention IV warm up act, 23/06/18. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich roast, chocolate malts, spice, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises bitter roast, cocoa powder, toffee, fruit cake, light black peppery spice, charr. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Solid no frills stout.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock - Birmingham. Pours black-brown with a bubbly, beige head. Nice ashy roast in the nose, torched marshmallows, earth. Medium sweet flavour, bitter dark chocolate, some espresso, strong roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Bitter ashy finish, dark cocoa, scorched earth. Solid, toothy.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours black, nose is toffee, roasted, liquorice, taste is sweet, creamy, chocolate, liquorice, roasted.

Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2015 [ The 40th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 8th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Fixed Wheel Blackheath Stout ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, burnt, licorice, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151008] 6-4-7-3-15

Draft at Brewdog, Birmingham. Black with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, cocoa, milk chocolate, coffee and toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
