Deep rich brown black colour with a smallish tan head. Chocolate, lots of chocolate, roasted malty spicy aroma. A velvety smooth chocolate taste, combined with toasted malt, a ginger spiciness with a smooth finish. Different but in a good way.

Cask at Craft 100 2014 - Craft Beer Co Clapham, London. Pours rich black-brown with a cream tan head. Very solid stuff. Thick and oily, with lots of chocolate character, sincere Jamaican jerk spicing. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with moderate roast, rich chocolate, and lingering jerk spices. Excellent.

Gravity dispense at Craft 100, Craft Beer Co Clapham, 03/04/14. Black with a dirty tan swirl and edgework. Nose is big spice, green pepper, rich chocolate, root ginger, roasted tones. Taste comprises Jamaica ginger cake, black and green pepper, light roast, cocoa nibs, dark toffee fudge. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid stuff, the jerk never overpowers and whilst evident is kept in check.

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours near black with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is Jamaica ginger cake, spice, toast, roasted malt, dirt and earth. The taste is toasty, earth, roasted malt, ginger cake, pepper, ash, cocoa, treacle and earthy coffee with a dry, toasty finish. Medium-full body, soft carbonation ad sticky mouth-feel. Interesting and well balanced. Mission accomplished. Great Jamaica ginger cake action!

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and light with modest carbonation. Lovely ginger cake nose, spot on! Lovely fruity cake, remarkably on the nose. Little dark chocolate. Fruity ginger, mildly warm. Not really getting a jerk slap round the chops, more of an allspice vibe. Modest spice warmth before a smooth finish. I think Ryan nailed this one. Delicious.
