Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Thanks to Colin for this one. Pours cloudy red-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds sweat, berries and vinegar. Medium sweet flavor with further acetic vinegar bite, some leathery berries. Full bodied with average carbonation. Acetic finish, oily, with some ripening berries, earthy bitterness, grainy bread. Hot and acetic - not the most enjoyable beverage, despite some interesting elements.

Bottle split at Chriso Easter tasting, from an IP trade with MJ, 04/04/15. Opaque dark mahogany brown with a decent dirty beige covering. Nose is earthy, dark fruit peel, tarte fruit rinds, oak, toffee, fusty wood. Taste comprises tofffee, pissy knickers, dates, sweet’n’sour tones, acidic rinse. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a puckering effect and dungy notes. Ok stuff, drinks below the ABV but a little overly acidic, not De Gardes finest work for sho!

4th April 2015
ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Very hazy dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, very dry and crisp. Sour wet wood and lemon, pretty gueuzey. Trace of sour dark chocolate. A fairly warming finish. Seems a bit over cooked.

Bottle at ChrisO’s, thanks to T-Boisy. It pours hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is funky, sour, vanilla, tangy fruits, raisin, date, brown bread, some acidity, rum, sugar and Granny Smith apple. The taste is crisp, tart, acidic, wood, earth, leather, tangy fruits, raisin, lemon rind, good deal of acidity and sherbet. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Transcends style categorisation for sure! Great aroma, but unfortunately a touch acidic. A fun beer to try nonetheless.
