Gravity cask at Early Doors, Daventry. Black and almost impenetrable to light with a small smattering of khaki head. Ashen aroma, light notes of espresso, heady cream. the sweet taste brings forth lots of liquorice, more sugared espresso, some caramel. A bit too much liquorice for my personal taste. Body is just a bit watery and fairly flat. Overall a pretty good beer but could do with a little more character.
Well balanced Porter. Too drinkable

Rochdale Beer Festival 2017. Dark coloured, it is a grainy-malty stout, but also with plenty of roasted malts that do linger.

On gravity at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 2/11/2013. Dark brown with a slick of a tan head. Chocolate notes, a touch of dark fruit, hint of grassy hop and toasty finish. Good.
