On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - elusive but some toffee coming through. Taste - tangy toffee. Tangy honey. Dry red fruits. Palate - close to medium bodied with a dry tight middle section which culminates in a dry almost gin juniper finish. Overall - not sure this worked out.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Clear amber with a moderate white head. A little thin at first but then subtle peachy and orangey fruity flavours develop. It’s a pleasant but oh-so-delicate little beer that just needs a good kick up the bum to make it perform.

Light sweet flavor with unbalanced bitterness, lots of leaves, dry wood, rind, cheap bread, light bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter and lightly astringent on the finish with some further dusty pale malts and leaves, soggy earth, grass, wood. Not great.
